Well its that time of the year again. The time of year where most sports fans dread. The part of the year where “I’m going out to watch the game” doesn’t fly as an excuse to go out and drink a beer with the guys.  This is the part of the sports calendar where the biggest story is 350 pound men showing up to camp out of shape (isn’t 350 pounds and in shape a oxymoron?).  With a lack of sports stories to keep my mind focused, all kinds of random questions run through my mind.  So this is one time a year I open my mind and share with my readers the random sports questions that pass through my brain.  Without further ado, I present to you the 2010 random sports questions:

Wasn’t it only a matter of time before Pacman and Matt Jones ended up on the Bengals?  Did anyone buy Ron Artest’s album?  Why doesn’t Carlos Boozer get any respect?  Do people see the numbers that dude puts up?  Why is it every time I tried to watch a World Cup game I would fall asleep and wake up 40 minutes later and the score was the exact same?  What made the Raiders think picking Jamarcus Russell number 1 overall was a good move to begin with?  Does Don Nelson just tell his players don’t worry about defense?  What are the Eagles going to do with Michael Vick?  I mean backing up Donovan McNabb is one thing, backing up Kevin Kolb is another -- cant think he is going to be to happy about that.

Am I the only person who isn’t sold on John Wall?  Has there even been a more hyped 16 point a game college career?  Does Jason Campbell really think being the Raiders starter is better then being McNabb’s back up?  Why did Tracy McGrady come back last season?  Did he really think he improved his stock by averaging 8 points a game on 38 percent shooting for the Knicks?  What has Josh McDaniel’s done to the the Broncos offense?  In just two years he went from having Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler to having Tim Tebow and Eddie Royal.

Does this whole Albert Haynesworth situation surprise anyone?  Who had a faster drop off, Steve Francis or Allen Iverson?  Did they really let David Garrard play in the Pro Bowl?  Does it make him a pro bowl quarterback because none of the other quarterback wanted to play?  Whatever happened to Freddy Adu?  Wasn’t he supposed to put USA soccer on the map?  We’re still not on the map and he didn’t even make the World Cup team.  When will Tiger be Tiger again?  Who is going to be the first person busted for steroids who just keeps it real?  I took them because they make you better and I wanted to get better, and they told me I wouldn’t get caught.  Why does the College World Series happen like a month after school is already out?  How good would Rasheed Wallace have been if he didn’t spend the whole game camped out at the three point line?  Why doesn’t anyone ever mention the fact that Bill Russell had no offensive game?  He makes Dwight Howard look like Hakeem.

What happened to Heavyweight boxing?  How is it Jason Williams just went to jail this year?  Am I the only one who didn’t know that Theo Ratliff was still in the league let alone starting?  Is Adam Morrison  really that bad?  The Lakers bench sucks and dude cant even put on a uniform most nights.  Why did Antoine Walker think his mother’s house needed a full sized indoor basketball court?  Nothing says I will be bankrupt in no time like indoor basketball courts at moms crib.  What does Danica Patrick have to do with GoDaddy.com?  Car racing and web hosting … where’s the connection?  Where is O.J.’s white Bronco now?  That thing has got to be worth a fortune.  Why was Lawrence Taylor staying in a Hampton Inn?  If he had 300 to spend on a girl, surely he can find a better place to stay.

Why is KG always acting like he is about to fight someone but has never been in a NBA fight?  Has anyone ever played with more talent than Steve Nash and won less?  I mean I’m huge fan of the guy but look at the names he has played alongside (Joe Johnson, Dirk, Finley, Amare, Matrix, etc).  Why didn’t Kimbo trying boxing instead? Couldnt Peter Warrick have been Wes Welker ? With  all the money A-Rod, Clemens, Bonds, Sosa, and McGuire made, why don’t they just build their own Hall of Fame?  Anyone else remember when Shaq said he will never play for any other coach than Phil?  Who were the random people in the audience when LeBron had his hour long special and how did they get tickets?  Did Hedo Turkaglu really just steal money from the Raptors then say he wasn’t happy?  How does he think they feel?  Who would’ve guessed Ice Cubes 30 for 30 would be the worst one?  How would Phil Jackson do if he had to coach the Bobcats?  Having Kobe and Mike as the best player on your team is one thing, having Gerald Wallace as your go to guy is a whole different ball game.
